On International Womens Day we are gathering for a Silent Lantern Walk Slow walk to King Edwards Bay NE30 4HG 45min-1 hour walk including a slope, down to the bay.
Wear black, carry lanterns and placards to convey our messages (bring tea lights, candles, torches, headlamps, hot drinks, snacks and wrap up warm)
We will walk in silence together and form a human peace symbol ☮️ in the bay, lit with lanterns, and send our love and solidarity from the Tyne to Palestine 🤍🕊️☮️
There will be opportunities to speak, recite and sing so bring your voices too!
Women in black is a worldwide network of women, committed to peace and justice, and actively opposed to injustice, militarism and other forms of violence. We are walking in silence and stand with the children, women, men and families of Palestine until they are free 🤍🕊️🕯️
